August 19, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting provider Contegix (contegix.com) announced on Friday that it had partnered with Atlassian Software Systems (atlassian.com) to offer managed hosting for its JIRA and Confluence applications. JIRA is an issue tracking application and Confluence is an enterprise wiki application.
Contegix is hosting the applications through its Beyond Managed Hosting service, which includes server setup, operating system installation, software deployment, licensing management, maintenance renewals and support.
Scott Farquhar, company director for Atlassian, says Contegix was chosen for its strong customer service and support.
“Companies typically make significant investments deploying and maintaining enterprise applications such as JIRA and Confluence,” says Mathew Porter of Contegix. “Our managed solutions dramatically reduce the required investment and allow customers to focus on their core businesses. The simple monthly fee also helps manage a company’s cash flow.”
