(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center and IT managed services provider Consonus Technologies (www.consonus.com) announced on Thursday it has partnered with business continuity service provider BlueTech IT Solutions (www.bluetechit.com) to offer remote backup service solutions.
RBS is a fully automated online solution that provides automated backups of heterogeneous file servers as well as application and database servers.
The solution offers encrypted, secure offsite storage and rapid online restoration of data stored in a 24-hour monitored network operations center.
“Traditional backup solutions tax internal resources,” says Mike Shook, president and CEO of Consonus Technologies. “Businesses today are focused on survival, and need to avoid the burden of additional headcount and capital investment. With Consonus Technologies’ RBS from BlueTech, customers are able to focus on their core business while benefiting from an expert, efficient way to store, manage, and recover mission-critical data on demand.”
The company’s managed services and three primary data centers in West Jordan, West Valley City and Salt Lake City, Utah all recently completed their SAS 70 Type II audit for the second year in a row.
Consonus Technologies also announced this week that Trading Intl. will move its online forex trading platform “ForeXecutor” to Consonus’ data center in Salt Lake City.
According to Consonus, the move can largely be attributed to the company’s SAS 70 Type II certification, which confirms the reliability, security, availability, and processing integrity of the IT services it offers through the data center.
Consonus will offer Trading Intl’s ForeXecutor a range of services from the data center, including colocation, disaster recovery, security, and uptime.
