(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Service management software provider ConnectWise announced on Tuesday that it has added a library of technology certification prep courses to assist its partners in employee recruitment, training and development through its partners-only resource site ConnectWise University.
Available online, the courses include technology certifications from companies like Cisco, VMware, Microsoft and more. The courses train partners’ employees in a variety of software, hardware and services.
Investment in employee training and development reflects that a company is committed to an employee and helps create employee loyalty as well, ConnectWise says. When employees receive the latest training and certifications, it improves efficiency, productivity, marketability and competitive differentiation for a company.
While most training programs are available via individual vendor’s sites and through physcial classrooms (for example, Rackspace Cloud Builders or cPanel University), the online aspect of these courses allow employees to learn at their own pace as workloads permit.
“Making these certification courses available to partners at a low cost drastically changes the dynamic for continuing education in the IT services world,” Gerwai Todd, director of strategy for ConnectWise and ConnectWise Capital said in a statement. “Our commitment to our partner’s business growth goes beyond professional services software, it extends to providing assets and tools that help them fundamentally improve and streamline the way their company operates.”
ConnectWise has partnered with Intelladon, a provider of learning and talent management solutions for IT services training to deliver the courses. Intelladon will ensure that the library of certification courses is up to date with the most current information and guarantee employees and new hires are meeting the current industry standards.
The website divides the certifications by vendor, or those with a specific idea of their certification needs can use the search bar to find the course they are looking for.
The library is available for one flat rate per student and gives them unlimited access to current coursework and virtual labs, according to the website. The plans are available as a monthly subscription or an annual subscription, and the course subscriptions start at $75 per month per student.
