(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed hosting provider Connectria (www.connectria.com) announced on Monday it has consolidated its REDPLAID Managed Hosting Division under the parent brand, Connectria Hosting.
The move comes a couple months after REDPLAID launched its new Private Cloud Computing solution.
Launched in 2006, REDPLAID Managed Hosting targeted small to mid-sized organizations seeking Windows and Linux hosting solutions with a range of managed services.
Connectria provides self-managed, managed, complex and cloud hosting services, including OS, virtualization, database, email/collaboration and application/Web servers.
REDPLAID will leverage Connectria’s experience in delivering these solutions, which were packaged into standardized offerings that could meet the needs of a wide audience at an affordable price point.
Since its inception, REDPLAID saw a significant growth in business. This, in turn, provided a complementary offering to its parent company, Connectria, whose focus has been providing complex hosting solutions for large enterprises.
“Given the growth we’re seeing and the emergence of Cloud Computing in our business, this is the right time to consolidate our brands,” says Rich Waidmann, Connectria president and CEO. “With the exception of our customers and partners, Connectria has been a well kept industry secret. As we look to increase our marketing efforts to fuel further growth, it made sense to unify our brands. We are confident a single brand will create more economies of scale in our marketing efforts, and provide greater clarity surrounding Connectria’s Hosting Solutions.”
Along with the brand consolidation, Connectria has launched a redesigned website that represents the combined offerings of Connectria and REDPLAID.
