January 27, 2003 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Advanced hosting and content delivery provider Conxion Corporation (Conxion.com) announced on Monday that it has been selected by e-commerce provider of contact lenses and optical accessories Vision Direct, to provide the company with managed hosting services.

Conxion says it will provide dedicated managed hosting, security services and comprehensive 24x7 monitoring and management of Vision Direct's Web site, which serves hundreds of thousands of customers in North America and Europe.

According to Conxion, Vision Direct reviewed several hosting providers before choosing Conxion based on its zero downtime reputation and experience managing high-volume Web sites.

"Vision Direct's decision to switch to us for global hosting shows the value we can bring to fast-growing companies looking for a long-term hosting partner that can grow with them," said Bill Dyer, Conxion's senior vice president of sales & marketing.
