October 2, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Internet security specialist Comodo (comodogroup.com) announced this week that is has adopted WebTrust standards for Certification Authorities and been awarded the WebTrust Seal of Assurance by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Compliance with WebTrust signifies adoption of independent standards for the issuing and management of digital certificates, the company said.

According to the company, it received the award after consulting firm KPMG completed an independent assessment of its business processes for the issuing and management of digital certificates.
