Comodo Acquires UK Software Firm

March 28, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Identity and trust assurance management solution provider Comodo (comodogroup.com) announced on Monday that it has acquired the intellectual property and assets of London, England-based security software provider Indicii Salu.

The acquisition strengthens Comodo’s status in secure communication and email messaging through encryption, authentication and management, and providing users with full security and confidentiality. With this acquisition, Comodo has further extended its identity and trust assurance solution suite to offer verifiable and secure digital communications, collaboration and commerce.

The core technology acquired by Comodo includes Indiccii Salu’s flagship security solution which is based on server-centric architecture with all information held securely in a central location. This provides a central platform that is needed to host and administer central key management solutions.

“This technology provides Comodo with added bench strength in our enterprise offerings for authenticated and secure email communications,” says Melih Abdulhayoglu, CEO, president and chief security architect of Comodo Group. “It relieves companies of having to invest in a complex public key infrastructure and most importantly, this simple, transparent technology provides the confidentiality companies want for their email transactions.”
