(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Cloud communications technology developer 4PSA (www.4psa.com) announced this week that it has launched new versions of its products for hosting providers, redesigned and tailored for the Parallels Plesk Panel 10 platform.
According to the announcement, the products, including its Clean Server, Spam Guardian, Total Backup, Central Login and 4PSA OXtender offer a range of new functions and are integrated seamlessly into the Parallels Plesk Panel 10 business flow.
4PSA is a Parallels Technology Partner. In addition to tailoring its own software for the Parallels platform, the comapny offers Parallels software licenses for sale through its own storefront.
Parallels launched Plesk Panel 10 in November of 2010 (watch product marketing manager Jon McCarrick talks to WHIR TV about the launch here), and hosting providers have been rolling out the product over the course of the year. The control panel has since reached version 10.3.
At the same time, software firms have been re-engineering certain tools to work with the platform, validating Parallels efforts to make its tools a standard for bundling and distributing hosted services and tools.
The company says its Clean Server antivirus and and Spam Guardian anti-spam tools are now registered as “additional Plesk services,” making them easier to manage and integrating them with the Plesk Billing provisioning tool.
Both tools now offer new reporting areas that make cloud provisioning easier, says the company, and enable service providers to bill for the products based on usage.
“Back in 2003, 4PSA introduced email antivirus and anti-spam capabilities to Parallels Plesk Panel,” said Elena Carstoiu, 4PSA’s VP of sales and marketing, quoted in the press release. “In 2011, scanning and filtering are still crucial to any hosting service and 4PSA add-ons are preferred due to their accuracy and scalability. Both Clean Server and Spam Guardian support distributed workloads without affecting other hosting services,” said Elena Carstoiu, 4PSA’s VP of Sales and Marketing.
According to 4PSA, the company’s add-ons for Plesk can be purchased from the 4PSA online store starting at $99.
