(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Cloud computing software provider 4PSA (www.4psa.com) announced on Wednesday that it has launched a new collaboration website with resources for software developers looking to add cloud and unified communications capability to their products.

In May, 4PSA celebrated the fifth anniversary of its flagship unified communications solution, VoipNow.

Developers Zone includes documentation for the REST and SOAP based APIs, and example libraries written in C++, Java, PHP, Python and Ruby.

According to the press release, programmers can interact with the 4PSA team and other developers through the comments area.

“The Developers Zone is just a small step we made to simplify the market adoption of the cloud-based services. By putting all resources together in a highly interactive format, we are helping software developers in their effort to integrate cloud services such as Unified Communications in their products,” Bogdan Carstoiu, 4PSA’s CEO said in a statement.

4PSA says that the structure of the Developers Zone allows users to easily find information based on their objectives and the documentation is displayed  in a wiki format.

“In the near future, we will be releasing new APIs and tools for developers that will allow them to extend the boundaries of their software to the new generation Unified Communications capabilities. This new Developers Zone will be our primary communication tool with the developers community, so we will be focusing on making constant updates in terms of educational resources and relevant examples,” Carstoiu said in a statement.

Though 4PSA says third-party developers have access to “all the necessary tools and assistance” through the Developers Zone, companies and individuals can gain additional access to software developer technical support through its Independent Software Vendor Partner program.
