ColoSpace Opens New Data Center
June 19, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Colocation and managed services provider ColoSpace (colospace.com) announced on Monday it has opened its sixth New England data center located in Bedford, New Hampshire.
The facility will serve clients throughout New England, including Boston area firms seeking disaster recovery solutions. The facility has been designed with the most comprehensive engineering standards and offers a convenient location within five miles of Manchester Airport and approximately 55 Minutes driving time from Boston.
“The Bedford facility compliments our Manchester, New Hampshire data center,” says Wayne Sawchuk, CEO of ColoSpace. “We are nearing capacity in the Manchester data center and now have a second option for our customers similar to the Massachusetts facilities.”
The Bedford data center enables organizations to purchase a high speed blended bandwidth option within a Class A secure facility and is installed with OC48 Fiber from Verizon’s multiple cCentral offices, ATT and MCI. Replicating the recently opened ColoSpace Rockland, Massachusetts data center, Bedford will provide 4 amps per square foot of electricity to accommodate dense computing power in preparation of blade server technologies.
