ColoHouse Offers Business Continuity Workforce Recovery Service

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center operator and colocation provider ColoHouse (www.colohouse.com) announced last week it has opened its new Business Continuity Wing and is now offering its new Business Continuity Workforce Recovery service to customers.

Located in downtown Miami, ColoHouse offers guaranteed or on-demand per seat packages providing secure office space for displaced employees during disaster events.

Thew new service is an interesting take on traditional disaster recovery plans.

While many companies offer colocation in the event of hurricanes, fires, or power outages, ColoHouse takes this one step further by also offering customers a safe and convenient alternative workpspace at its downtown Miami facility.

The new ColoHouse Business Continuity wing is a 3,000-square-foot, Category-5 hurricane protected facility that can endure up to 155-mph sustained winds.

The facility, which can house up to 30 to 40 displaced employees, offers completely furnished private and open office space with phone, copy and printing capabilities, conference rooms, full bathroom with showers, kitchen and break areas.

“Through this new Business Continuity wing and our new Business Continuity Workforce Recovery service, our Miami data center customers now have a complete set of services to help keep their business operational in the event primary office space becomes unavailable,” says Alan Sabourin, chief operating officer at ColoHouse. “Being that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration recently predicted an ‘above average’ hurricane season in 2010, our service offering will become a must have for many businesses.”
