A map of Zayo Group's national network
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Colocation provider Zayo (www.zayo.com) announced on Tuesday it has expanded its fiber network in the Dallas metro area.
The company has added five major carrier hotel and data center facilities to its network and extended its footprint to eight new local switching offices.
The move comes just three months after Zayo expanded its Memphis fiber-to-the-tower network into Northern Mississippi.
Zayo will now be able to support dark or lit fiber connectivity to multiple enterprise and carrier providers in 2323 Bryan Street, 2020 Live Oak Street, 1950 Stemmons Freeway, 4316 Bryan Street, and 400 South Akard Street in Dallas.
The company will also bring fiber connectivity to eight new local switching offices located throughout the Dallas metropolitan area, bringing its total route miles to 84.
“Zayo views Dallas as a key market for future growth,” says Matt Erickson, president of Zayo Fiber Solutions. “We continue to invest capital in order to better enable dark fiber and lit service solutions for our enterprise and wholesale customers, and view this expansion as a crucial step in further building the value of our Dallas network.”
