(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Colocation and managed services provider ViaWest (www.viawest.com) announced on Thursday it has named Paul Gerrard as executive vice president of sales and marketing.
The appointment comes just two weeks after the company announced it named Bob Newman its senior vice president of service delivery.
Gerrard will be responsible for the comprehensive direction and organic growth strategy in all of ViaWest’s current and future target markets.
“Paul is a great addition to our executive management team,” says Roy J. Dimoff, ViaWest CEO and chairman. “He has a solid record of success and the indispensable industry experience we need to help us truly focus our efforts in a competitive marketplace. As a company, we have placed a high expectation on growth, both in our current markets as well as expansion markets, and we plan to leverage Paul’s expertise to accomplish those goals.”
Prior to ViaWest, Gerrard was the senior vice president of sales for SunGard’s Western Region.
He has also held previous executive positions in sales and marketing with both MindShift Technologies as well as Inflow.
He spent over 20 years in sales management with Hewlett Packard. As general manager of HP’s US-based network and services provider group, Gerrard gained significant knowledge of the service provider market.
ViaWest maintains 16 enterprise-class data centers in Colorado, Texas, Oregon, Utah, and Nevada.
