(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Colocation and managed hosting provider TelecityGroup (www.telecitygroup.com) announced on Monday that it has partnered with digital and print publishing firm Digital Technology International (www.dtint.com) to launch DTI Cloud, its SaaS publishing platform.
According to the press release, DTI provides solutions for digital and print publishing including circulation, content management and advertising. The company says its main customer base is newspaper publishers.
DTI says the secure hosting environment provided by TelecityGroup “will ensure the optimal delivery of its cloud publishing platform in Europe.”
“The publishing industry is seeing a fundamental shift towards cloud computing, firstly due to the move towards using digital channels to deliver content, and as a means of reducing cost,” Paul Gillogaley, managing director and vice president of sales, International, DTI said in a statement. “Since launching DTI Cloud in the Unites States a little over one year ago, more than 200 newspapers have enjoyed the significant benefits, and want to ensure we can provide the same secure, reliable services via our Cloud platform for our European customers.”
“TelecityGroup’s Gutleutstrasse facility in Frankfurt is the ideal environment; not only is it built and managed to the highest standards, but it is at the geographic center of the European Union enabling us to provide very high levels of service, and more security than can normally be afforded in-house,” Gillogaley added. “TelecityGroup also has a strong track record in supporting US companies coming to Europe. Working in partnership with TelecityGroup has been a great experience – they continue to surpass our expectations for both service levels and engineering knowledge.”
DTI says it chose TelecityGroup based on its “high levels of service, support and engineering experience available at the Gutleutsrasse facility.”
“Due to the speed at which the media industry is moving online, DTI’s customers are faced with significant growth opportunities,” Martin Essig, country manager at TelecityGroup Germany stated. “It is essential they have an experienced data center partner to support them, and a guarantee that the on-the-ground support and service they receive is expert and reliable. At TelecityGroup our reputation is built on a unique combination of highly skilled and committed employees and premium quality data centres. We have a proven track record in helping US companies take advantage of the opportunity that Europe offers, and we’re pleased to be supporting DTI with the launch of its European Cloud platform.”
In December 2010, TelecityGroup acquired a 64,600 square foot data center in Amsterdam.
