(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center operator Colocation America announced on Tuesday that it has re-certified the compliance of all its facilities with the PCI DSS security standard developed by the credit card industry, in the new year.

Introduced in the last few years by a group created by the major credit card firms, PCI DSS is a set of standards and practices imposed on companies accepting credit card data, and their technology service providers.

Colocation America’s business development director Albert Ahdoot, quoted in the press release, says the standard will continue to be met across all its data centers.

In partnership with the company Total Apps, Colocation America says it has introduced the YesPCI service, which provides small business customers the means to acquire PCI compliant dedicated hosting and merchant solutions.

Earlier this month, the company announced that it had successfully maintained 100 percent uptime for the third consecutive year.
