(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Colocation provider Colocation America (www.colocationamerica.com) announced on Monday that its power status and core network uptime for 2010 was 100 percent.

According to the press release, Colocation America has 22 data centers across the US with connections to major connectivity hubs.

“We are very happy that we were about to reach this goal two years in a row,” Michael Trunkett, president of Colocation America said in a statement. “Our success is a credit to our fantastic engineers and staff, not to mention the investment in upgrades we put into our data center infrastructure.”

Colocation America has redundant power systems, including inline power backups, onsite generators with standby fuel and UPS systems, to maintain uptime levels. The company says its UPS system monitors all of its equipment to ensure clean power passes through the center and that everything is running.

Trunkett says its redundant CRAC units maintain optimal temperatures, preventing overheating and ensuring hardware runs properly.
