Colocation America is now offering Mac Mini Colocation for Apple users
Colocation and web hosting provider Colocation America announced on Wednesday it is now offering Mac Mini Colocation for Apple users who prefer to operate an Apple based OS on a dedicated server.
The move comes a few months after Colocation America expanded internationally with a new brand and website.
Colocation America recognized a huge market opportunity in accommodating Mac Mini users in its data centers.
Using Colocation America’s new service, Apple users will have access to “ultra-fast connectivity, no nonsense billing and 24-hour expert tech support,” according to the press release.
“Traditional dedicated servers don’t always appeal to everyone, especially those accustomed to using an Apple based operating system,” said Colocation America marketing director Shawn Ahdoot. “The Mac Mini has proven itself in a competitive marketplace. Due to its compact size and powerful OS the Mac Mini makes for an ideal dedicated server.”
Mac Mini colocation plans include ultra-fast network connectivity, along with multiple 10G ports from nationwide Tier 1 providers, giving customers access to multiple ISPs.
All Mac Mini Colo plans include a 99 percent guaranteed uptime.
The colocation service is offered on a month to month billing cycle, while customers can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel their service all together by sending Colocation America an email.
In August 2012, Colocation America donated a dedicated Linux server to Fedora, the free desktop Linux distribution sponsored by Red Hat.
