Colo Firm UnitedLayer Expands Team

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Colocation and managed hosting provider UnitedLayer (www.unitedlayer.com) announced on Monday it has expanded its team by adding three new executives to its management team.

UnitedLayer provides colocation and Internet infrastructure services, including IP transit, colocation and managed infrastructure services.

Albert Ahdoot has been named director of business development for UnitedLayer, where he will lead the sales efforts in both online and offline market segments.

He has more than 12 years of managerial and consulting experience in the information technology industry, most recently serving as vice president of sales and marketing for Colocation America.

“Albert is an enormous asset to the UnitedLayer team,” says Arman Khalili, CEO of UnitedLayer. “His experience, knowledge and foresight of the web hosting and managed infrastructure spaces enable our management team to make better-informed and well-reasoned decisions.”

Armin Khalili, who is the brother of UnitedLayer CEO Arman Khalili, has been named director of sales and business development.

With more than 20 years experience as a manger, Khalili has held senior positions in sales, business development, and marketing divisions for Samsung, ARM, General Electric and Altera.

Finally, Tom Washington has been named director of managed services and product development.

He has more than six years experience working with ISPs and data centers, where he helped manage, scale, and implement complex managed hosting solutions.

His specialties include both Windows and Linux hosting as well as service development.

UnitedLayer maintains over 35,000 square feet of data center space in San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles and Ashburn, Virginia.

The company recently had a strong first quarter, reporting a sales increase of 35 percent over its last quarter, while EBITDA increased by 110 percent over last quarter.
