(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Colocation provider and data center operator RagingWire Enterprise Solutions (www.ragingwire.com) announced on Thursday it has named Robert S. Quinn as vice president of information technology.
Quinn has 27 years of experience, including C level experience in companies ranging from Internet startups to publicly traded global organizations like eBay, KLA-Tencor, and Blue Coat Systems.
In his past roles he has built “innovative and successful engineering, operations and IT organizations,” according to the press release.
Quinn will report directly to RagingWire president and CTO Yatish Mishra, in a role where he will be responsible for facilities, IT, engineering, and operations.
“We are excited to have Bob join our executive team,” says Mishra. “Bob’s extensive business experience, leadership skills, and IT expertise will be invaluable to RagingWire. Bob will take on the role of implementing the company’s business initiatives, executing the strategic vision, and directing the company’s IT operations.”
With RagingWire’s recent announcement of expansion plans into its second 220,000-square-foot-plus data center, Quinn will be focused on supporting the company’s “traditional strengths within the enterprise verticals and accelerating growth within the internet-based and social networking verticals”.
Before joining RagingWire, Quinn held several CIO positions at companies including eBay, KLA-Tencor Corporation, and Blue Coat Systems.
Quinn has also held executive positions at Genentech, Sun Microsystems, and Portera Systems.
