March 31, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Carrier-neutral data center infrastructure service provider Collocation Solutions (CollocationSolutions.com) announced on Monday that it has completed an agreement with finance institution-owned EFT network Pulse EFT Association to provide infrastructure for a second production switch platform.
According to Pulse, the decision to outsource the secondary data center was made because it was cost effective enough and provided a fast time-to-market solution. The organization’s commitment to its financial institution members requires that it have dual processing capability. Traditional data recovery models, involving setting up a recovery site after an incident occurs, will not be sufficient, says Pulse, which requires instantaneous fail-over to a duplicate system. Pulse is building a secondary production site within Collocation Solutions’s Dallas data center.
