February 4, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Collocation Solutions (collocationsolutions.com), a provider of outsourced data center infrastructure services, has acquired COMDEPOT (comdepot.com), a provider of managed network solutions, the company said on Wednesday.
Terms of the transaction between the two Dallas-based firms were not disclosed.
“We have made this investment in response to our corporate clients’ requirements and to leverage the significant network presence within our carrier-neutral data centers,” said Jim deVenny, CEO of Collocation Solutions. “This combination of COMDEPOT’s services and our robust meet-me-rooms gives us the on-net capabilities required to deliver reliable, value-added network services to the enterprise.”
Collocation Solutions said the founders of the newly acquired company, Don Purner and Steve Fahle, will continue to head COMDEPOT.
