Cogent Colocates with Interxion

November 19, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Internet service provider Cogent Communications (cogentco.com) announced on Thursday that its IP and Internet access services are now available out of six Interxion (interxion.com) data center facilities in Germany, France, Belgium, Austria and Spain. Based in the Netherlands, Interxion is a managed services and colocation provider with 20 data centers across Europe.

Cogent said colocating with Interxion expands its network reach in Europe and gives it access to several facilities where important carrier class prospects are located. With the Interxion deal, carrier and enterprise customers will have access to Cogent’s multiple OC-192 (STM-64) network backbone and be able to choose from a variety of products including Layer 3, ring protected transit service and Layers 1 and 2 transport services with available interfaces ranging from a T1 to multiple wavelengths.
