Codero Makes Nine Additions to Server Line-Up

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Dedicated and managed hosting provider Codero (www.codero.com) has unveiled its new server portfolio, adding nine new server options to its portfolio, providing customers with a wide array of products and price-points backed by cutting-edge technology.

According to its Tuesday announcement, Codero’s diversified server portfolio includes enhancements from its entry-level servers to its enterprise-class offerings.

“In an ongoing effort to provide customers with the best server solutions possible, we recognize the importance of keeping a fresh and updated portfolio,” Codero chief operations officer Ryan Elledge said in a statement. “The changes to the server offering arm our customers with technology solutions to increase their performance, efficiency and ultimately their business potential.”

Aimed at making dedicated hosting more affordable, Codero has expanded its entry level products with an Intel (www.intel.com) Celeron 430 running at 1.8GHz equipped with 1GB RAM, a 2.6GHz Pentium Dual Core with and 1GB RAM, a 1.86GHz Core 2 Duo E6300 with 1GB RAM, and a 3.0GHz Core 2 Duo E8400 with 1GB RAM. All these “Webmaster Class” servers cost no more than $100 per month.

Updates to the “Professional Class” include the introduction of two Intel processors that feature Nehalem architecture. The 2.66GHz Core i5 Quad Core with 2GB RAM and the 2.8GHz Core i7 Quad Core with 2GB RAM provide increased performance and Intel’s Turbo Boost technology, allowing up to 3.2GHz on the Core i5 and 3.46GHz for the Core i7.

The Enterprise Class has been revamped to include three new 2x Xeon Quad Core servers ranging from 2.13 to 2.66GHz with 2GB RAM. These Quad Core servers are not only energy efficient for “green hosting” applications, but they also provide up to 50 percent added performance when compared to Dual Core processors in the same power range.

Additionally, Codero’s lineup of Dell (www.dell.com) servers has been completely refreshed with Dell’s 11th generation servers. The PowerEdge R-Series of servers, strikes a balance between power, price and expandability requirements and the PowerEdge R410, R610 and R710 rack servers, which are now available through Codero, offer speed and security for all types of businesses.

Last year, web host Aplus.net (www.aplus.net) launched Codero as a business division focused solely on dedicated and managed hosting services for small and medium-sized businesses.
