(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) – Cloud storage solutions provider Mezeo Software (www.mezeo.com) announced on Tuesday that it has been named one of Gartner’s “Cool Vendors” in the research firms Storage Technologies report.
Gartner (www.gartner.com) defines a cool vendor as an enterprise that offers technologies or solutions that are innovative, impactful and intriguing and have caught Gartner’s attention over the past six months.
According to the press release, Gartner finds that a storage infrastructure that meets service-level agreements is no longer adequate. Designs now need to include risk minimization, infrastructure extensibility, total cost of ownership optimization, green considerations and budget constraints.
“The cloud storage market continues to mature, and Mezeo considers our inclusion in the Cool Vendor report by Gartner confirmation of our efforts to provide a differentiated cloud storage solution for service providers and enterprise IT centers acting as internal service providers,” Steve Lesem, president and CEO of Mezeo said in a statement. “The MezeoCloud storage platform uniquely enables organizations to offer on-demand cloud storage as a private or public cloud, with easy access from any Web browser, Windows desktop, iPhone, iPad or BlackBerry.”
Mezeo says its cloud software, MezeoCloud, is a white label cloud storage platform that allows IT service providers to use a branded cloud storage offering.
In August at HostingCon, WHIR editor Liam Eagle interviewed Lesem about its Mezeo Ready cloud program.
