Cloud Host GearHost Renews SmarterTools Partnership

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Cloud web hosting provider GearHost (www.gearhost.com) announced on Thursday that it has renewed its partnership with IT management software developer SmarterTools (www.smartertools.com) to distribute the suite of products through its CloudServer offering.

Indian Web hosting provider ZNet recently renewed its partnership with SmarterTools as well.

Both GearHost and SmarterTools are presenting at HostingCon 2011 in August. Ryan Kekos, CEO of GearHost and SmarterTools VP of business operations Jeff Hardy will both be speakers at the conference held in San Diego from August 8 – 10. Hardy gave WHIR readers a preview of his presentation in an interview last week.

According to the press release, GearHost will offer its CloudServer customers the professional editions of the SmarterMail mail server, SmarterTrack and SmarterStats.

The package will be offered at no additional charge to GearHost customers.

“Our continued partnership with SmarterTools has empowered GearHost to provide a robust solution for our CloudServer customers. SmarterTools software is designed on the Microsoft stack and adds value to our existing Microsoft cloud hosting solutions allowing our customers to get a complete CloudServer solution with software to provide email, site analytics and an entire help desk suite at no charge to our customers,” Ryan Kekos, GearHost’s CEO said in a statement. “We look forward to a mutually beneficial relationship with SmarterTools for many years to come.”

SmarterTools also recently partnered with web hosting provider ReliableSite.
