Cloud Cruiser announced on Monday that it is available with Windows Server 2012 R2 via Windows Azure Pack to deliver cloud financial management to web hosts offering clouds based on Windows Azure.
Using Cloud Cruiser with Windows Azure Pack, web hosts with Azure-based clouds can access advanced financial management, chargeback and cloud billing functions. It works directly from the Azure portal so hosts can manage their costs from a central panel.
Web hosts can automate cloud billing and chargeback, quickly see how profitable their cloud is, and see at a glance who are their top customers by revenue.
“With Windows Azure Pack, enterprises and hosters gain the powerful capabilities of the Windows Azure public cloud in their data center or a hosted cloud,” Ryan O’Hara, director, program management, Microsoft Cloud and Enterprise Division said. “Cloud Cruiser’s financial management solution gives customers insight into the transformative economics of Microsoft’s cloud technologies. With Microsoft and Cloud Cruiser customers can make real-time strategic business decisions that can drive greater efficiency and profitability.”
Cloud Cruiser said its latest release offers dynamic customer analysis, demand forecasting, and profit analysis and supports heterogeneous cloud environments like public cloud and applications.
“The inclusion of Cloud Cruiser with Windows Server is a clear signal from the largest software company in the world that financial management is integral to every cloud strategy,” Nick van der Zweep, VP of strategy for Cloud Cruiser said. “This relationship helps ensure that businesses can deliver innovative, scalable, and profitable cloud services.”
