Cloupia's Cloud Unified Infrastructure Controller in a YouTube demo
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Cloud and data center automation and management software provider Cloupia announced on Monday it has opened a London, UK office.
The expansion is signficant as it extends the company’s reach into the European market. Cloupia’s corporate headquarters is in Santa Clara, California while its R&D operations are based in Hyderabad, India.
The expansion follows Cloupia’s launch of Open Automation for Clouds, a beta extension of its existing cloud automation and management solution Cloupia Unified Infrastructure Controller.
The software allows customers and partners to customize the solution with their own modules.

Establishing a local presence in the UK will create even more opportunities to deliver our solutions to new customers in the region, as well as to better support our existing customers in the UK and the rest of Europe,” said Kirk Wrigley, VP of Channels at Cloupia. “The Cloupia channel program offers value added resellers a unique and compelling opportunity to capitalize on the growing demand for cloud and FlexPod management and orchestration solutions.”
In August, Cloupia released the latest version of CUIC which allows organizations to build internal private clouds, and manage public clouds.
The solution is focused on vendor neutrality and multi-cloud capability, providing end-to-end management and automation.
The new capability enables customers to automatically add multiple infrastructure and cloud vendors as an extension of their data centers as well as automate many administrative and operational tasks, according to the press release.
Cloupia also began offering in general availability Unified FlexPod Management and orchestration software that automates management, monitoring and provisioning of the FlexPod.
The company will showcase this week at NetApp Insight 2011 in Rome demonstrations of a live FlexPod orchestration.
