Citrix, Olliance, Emerson and Snowcovered Execs Named to DotNetNuke Corp. Advisory Board

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — The organization behind the open-source DotNetNuke Corp. platform, DotNetNuke Corp. (www.dotnetnuke.com) has announced the formation of its Board of Advisors, which will guide and provide insight on product development and technology adoption issues.

According to DotNetNuke Corp.’s Monday announcement, the advisory board brings together web development and open-source industry experts including Citrix Systems business development vice president Frank Artale, Snowcovered founder and chief executive officer Brice Snow, Olliance Group founder and managing partner Andrew Aitkin, and Emerson Street Partners managing director Glen Winokur.

“We are very excited to announce the formation of DotNetNuke Corp.’s Advisory Board,” DotNetNuke Corp. president and CEO Navin Nagiah said in a statement. “The members of our advisory board are executives and experts from leading global companies. They offer a broad spectrum of business views and tech experience which is invaluable as we execute against DotNetNuke Corp.’s strategy and scale for growth.”

DNN is the most widely adopted framework for building Microsoft .NET (www.microsoft.com/NET) websites and applications. In late August, in an effort to further encourage synergy between the open-source platform and third-party developers, DotNetNuke Corp. acquired Snowcovered (www.snowcovered.com), an online market for DNN modules, skins, services and related products. The result was an enriched online library of third-party extensions for the most widely adopted framework for building .NET websites and applications.

In a recent email interview with the WHIR, DotNetNuke Corp.’s Nagiah explained how bringing Snowcovered into the DotNetNuke Corp. fold provides new opportunities to increase the market reach of module and skin vendors, and provide a wider variety of platform extensions to the DotNetNuke Corp. user base.
