October 20, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Canadian web hosting provider Cirrus Tech (www.cirrushosting.com) announced on Monday it will be launching a new set of what the company calls “managed corporate hosting solutions,” powered by R1soft’s (www.r1soft.com) continuous data protection technology.
The news follows a series of announcements the company has made over the past month, including the recent expansion of its hosted offerings to include Hosted Exchange and SharePoint services.
Cirrus Tech also reported at the beginning of October that it was updating its Linux and Windows reseller hosting plans.
According to the company’s most recent announcement, the new managed solutions, which include Microsoft SharePoint and Exchange, are meant to eliminate “the threat of catastrophic data loss” and will use clustered server infrastructure. R1Soft’s CDP software will be used as the backup component to support the new services.
