Cirrus Tech Updates VPS with Parallels

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Following the release of Parallels Plesk Panel 9 on its dedicated server hosting plans, Canadian web hosting provider Cirrus Tech (www.cirrushosting.com) has announced the availability of the Plesk 9 control panel on its Linux virtual private server hosting plans.

After thorough testing of Parallels Plesk Panel 9, according to the company’s Friday announcement, Cirrus Tech is pleased with its stability and performance on its VPS accounts.

Cirrus Tech sales manager Mani Aminian said that the new control panel will particularly help Cirrus Tech’s VPS hosting clients who use their plans to host their own clients. “With Plesk 9, there is a new reseller mode which allows Cirrus Tech clients to sign up their own clients and resell web hosting services to them,” Aminian said in a statement.

The control panel’s new version also allows for complete integration with APS Catalog and Parallels Plesk Billing, giving clients a complete reseller hosting solution on their VPS. Aside from technical improvements, Plesk 9 offers a new, contemporary look and streamlined interface.

Cirrus Tech already uses Parallels’ Virtuozzo technology to create isolated Linux VPS plans, which all support Plesk 9 on a variety of popular Linux distributions, such as Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, Fedora Core, and openSUSE.

Adoption of Parallels Plesk Panel 9 is Cirrus Tech’s latest improvement in a series of recent renovations. In October 2008, Cirrus Tech announced it would expand its hosted offerings to include Hosted Exchange and SharePoint Services. Also in October, the company updated its Linux and Windows reseller hosting plans to host up to 50 domains and act as a hosting reseller.
