April 14, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Content delivery network provider CDNetworks (cdnetworks.com) announced on Monday that it has expanded its advanced data center solutions, which are already available in Asia, into Europe and the United States.
According to the press release, the “combination of its integrated state-of-the-art CDN technology, global network infrastructure, and industry-leading customer services, coupled with its full range of data center solutions, positions CDNetworks as a unique service provider offering reliability, scalability and reach on a global scale.”
CDNetworks says that content companies like DeviceAnywhere by Mobile Complete, Thin Multimedia and Gretech have partnered with CDNetworks data center solutions to ensure 100 percent quality of service from content hosting to end-user delivery.
DeviceAnywhere will be using CDNetworks’ data center solutions and content delivery network services as part of its agenda to further expand across the US, Europe, and Asia while Thin Multimedia is leveraging CDNetworks’ managed hosting services for its thinMobile CDNTM, which delivers video and audio content to mobile devices. Gretech tapped CDNetworks for its advanced data center and server management solutions to accelerate the expansion of its GOM business to the US market.
“CDNetworks has eight years of experience in providing advanced data center solutions in Asia and has leveraged this know-how to provide a full range of solutions in the US and Europe,” says Simon Lee, CEO of CDNetworks US. “No other CDN alone, or data center alone, can provide the breadth of services now offered by CDNetworks on a worldwide basis. We add to the benefits we provide as a CDN with in-region infrastructure, including local service and support, without the high cost of deploying private data centers.”
Founded in 2000 in Seoul, Korea, CDNetworks calls itself a “top-three global full-service content delivery network,” and provides a suite of technology for video streaming, large-volume-files downloads, and image caching. CDNetworks has subsidiaries in the US, China and Japan and is publicly traded on Korea’s KOSDAQ exchange.
