March 1, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Carpathia Hosting (carpathiahost.com), a Web hosting and bandwidth services provider based in Virginia, announced on Monday that it has acquired the customer base and hardware assets of ProHosters, a shared and dedicated Web hosting provider.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We have been impressed with ProHosters’ growth and see this transaction as a logical step toward expanding our line of service offerings,” says Rick Smith, CEO of Carpathia Hosting. “Placing ProHosters within our network andleveraging the combined support staffs is a combination that can’t be beat.”
Carpathia said that it will be placing the acquired customer base behind Carpathia’s intelligently routed network (CIRN) and is retaining ProHosters’ technicians.
