(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Managed hosting provider Carpathia Hosting (www.carpathiahosting.com) announced it has expanded its portfolio of secure, compliant hosting solutions designed specifically for federal civilian and defense agencies, following its recent acquisition of ServerVault.
To support this line of government-targeted hosting solutions, the company has launched Carpathia Government Solutions, a business unit focused on delivering secure, compliant hosting solutions designed for the federal market.
With the acquisition of ServerVault, Carpathia gained an extensive customer base and partnerships in the federal sector, including a range of agencies like the Department of Defense, Department of Intelligence, and Department of Homeland Security.
“When we pair [Carpathia's and ServerVault's solutions] together, we’re able to take our very rich porfolio and bring that into the vault, into that kind of highly secured, compliance facility,” Jon Greaves, chief technology officer at Carpathia, said in a recent phone interview. “By doing that and using these procedures, we’re going to gain some very unique service offerings.”
With active authority to operate for over 20 federal agencies, support for private agency networks and an active facility clearance, Carpathia Hosting is able to serve a range of federal agency IT infrastructure requirements.
It is also the only provider in the industry that guarantees certification and accreditation for federal agencies within its service level agreements.
Carpathia can now deliver a full suite of federally-compliant hosting and IT management services, which range from colocation and managed hosting, to federally-compliant cloud services delivered via a secure, federally-compliant hosting facility.
CGS will be driven by Carpathia’s commercial product management and operations teams to deliver secure and compliant solutions specific to federal agency requirements.
The company also announced it has named Seth Finkel, who previously served as senior vice president of managed services at ServerVault, to Carpathia’s general manager of the newly formed government group.
Finkel will oversee the daily operations, sales and business development efforts for CGS.
