Canadian Registry Lowers .CA Prices

July 8, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (cira.ca) lowered its wholesaleregistration price for .ca domain registrations to $19.99 last week, prompting caDNS.ca to reduce its pricing in response.

As an added incentive, caDNS.ca offers customers free Spam blocking email addresses for use on .ca domain records.

“Since its inception, a little over a year ago, customers using this free service have benefited from less spam,” says Eric Beck, CEO of Canadian Domain Name Services Inc. “By registering for a free SpamBlock.ca email address, registrants can use these special email addresses on their domain records, which makes it impossible for spammers to email them by using theirdomain record email addresses.”
