Cable & Wireless to Stream Ads for MSN Video

November 24, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Cable & Wireless America (cw.com) said today that it is delivering the online streaming video advertising for MSN Video, MSN’s new broadband video player scheduled for availability this winter across the MSN network.

The company said it is providing MSN with a streaming media solution that encompasses content encoding, content and campaign management, and streaming media delivery services. The encoding services will allow advertisers to place ads in Windows Media 9 format.

“More broadband consumers are turning to the Internet for their news and information every day. MSN will offer consumers access to the finest in broadcast journalism, which they have come to expect from MSNBC.com,” said Scott Moore, president of MSNBC.com. “Through its expertise in streaming media delivery, Cable & Wireless America will play an important role in supporting this advertising-supported medium.”

According to C&W America, advertisers will be able to track the effectiveness of their ads through a campaign tracking solution.
