CA Technologies Names Three Senior Executives

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — IT management software and solutions provider CA Technologies (www.ca.com) announced on Monday it has appointed three new senior-level executives.

The appointments include Andrew Smithas as sales director for public sector business in the UK and Ireland, David Dobson as executive vice president and group executive of customer solutions group, and Phillip Harrington as executive vice president of risk and chief administrative officer.

In the newly created role of sales director for public sector business in the UK and Ireland, Smith will help grow the amount of public sector business and revenue generated by the company’s partners.

Smith previously held sales management roles at Precis and Mercury Interactive.

In the newly created role of executive vice president and group executive of customer solutions group, Dobson will report directly to CEO Bill McCracken.

He will be responsible for ensuring the success of the company’s customer solutions units.

Previously, he was executive vice president and president at Pitney Bowes Management Services.

Dobson has also served as executive vice president and chief strategy and innovation officer at Pitney Bowes, CEO of Corel Corporation, and varying sernior positions at IBM Printing systems including president and general manager.

As executive vice president of risk and chief administrative officer, Harrington is responsible for the company’s human resources, global administrative services, risk, global information services and government relations operations.

Reporting directly to McCracken, Harrington replaces James Bryant who is retiring.

Previously Harrington served as a director at Deloitte & Touche, overseeing large clients in the areas of general management consulting, operational risk management and regulation.

He also spent 20 years at Prudential Financial,  where he served in a range of executive roles, including global risk officer, chief compliance officer, and vice president of government relations.
