(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center operator C7 Data Centers (www.c7dc.com) announced on Wednesday it has made major network upgrades to Internet links between its distributed data centers.

The move follows C7′s announcement in August in which the company raised $9 million in growth capital.

At the time, the company said it planned to use the capital to further fuel organic growth, fund additional phases for its data centers, and allow for new expansion facilities.

The network upgrades, in partnership with multiple telecommunication carriers, will provide C7 customers with access to large amounts of bandwidth at competitive prices.

Brocade (www.brocade.com), C7′s networking solutions provider, provided the company with a scalable networking solution that allows for massive growth as bandwidth grows.

The company installed Brocade NetIron XMR Series routers, which are designed to effectively overcome bandwidth challenges.

Based on terabit-scale architecture, C7 says it now has one of the industry’s most powerful, high density IPv4/IPv6/MPLS multi-service routers to deploy scalable services.

“C7 is making the investments necessary to provide our customers with a tremendous growth path,” says Nathan Hatch, CEO of C7 Data Centers. “Companies from both coasts are choosing C7 because of our quality facilities and services, low power costs, redundant bandwidth offerings and disaster free location.”

The company has four colocation data centers located in Utah, including two locations in Lindon, Orem and Salt Lake City.
