C7 Data Centers Raises $9M in Capital

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center operator C7 Data Centers (www.c7dc.com) announced on Monday it has raised an additional $9 million in growth capital.

The round was led by Canopy Ventures (www.canopy.com) while Zions First National Bank (www.zionsbank.com) handled the debt financing.

C7 says it plans to use this additional capital to further fuel organic growth, fund additional phases for its data centers, and allow for new expansion facilities.

The company currently has four data centers in Utah, providing a range of data center solutions to local, national and international businesses.

These services include colocation, disaster recovery, and virtualization.

These data centers are located in low disaster geographic areas which have low cost power rates.

C7 has already signed many colocation customers this year, including AtTask, WestHost, and eFileCabinet.

“For the past three years we have carefully built our management and support teams to provide the world-class, fully-redundant services our customers rely on,” says Nathan Hatch, CEO of C7 Data Centers. “This growth capital will provide additional high-quality inventory for our current and prospective customers’ business operations.”
