Ecommerce software firm X-Cart's profile page on BeanSprout
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Business development platform BeanSprout (www.bnsprt.com) announced on Monday it has partnered with ecommerce software provider X-cart (www.x-cart.com) to help online merchants find business development partners.
By enrolling in BeanSprout, companies are matched with similar companies for business development opportunities. Similar to online dating services, BeanSprout “figures out who would make a good partner and presents it as a match.” If there is a mutual interest, contact information is exchanged to further discuss the partnership, in what BeanSprout calls a “connection.”
X-cart customers will receive 10 free connections on BeanSprout to help them find distribution, marketing and technology partnerships, according to the press release.
“Business development is an important part to building any business and ecommerce is no different,” Alex Mulin, sales department manager at X-Cart said in a statement. “The addition of BeanSprout in the X-cart marketplace will help our customers grow their business in a new way.”
According to the BeanSprout website, the business development firm has web hosting customers such as leaseweb, Peer 1 Hosting and HostDime. BeanSprout also has security firms such as Comodo and McAfee.
“There really were no tools to help companies find the right business development opportunities before BeanSprout,” Alex Kehayias, co-founder of BeanSprout stated. “X-Cart clearly sees the opportunity to help companies grow their companies with business development and we’re glad to be partnering with them.”
In January, web host A2 hosting and web design firm Camelback Web Architects formed a partnership through the BeanSprout platform.
Launched in November 2010, BeanSprout focuses on the web hosting and ecommerce sectors to foster strategic partnerships.
