Business Continuity Survey Launched

June 30, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — The 2004 Business Continuity Audit, a survey that focuses on critical IT issues, was launched on Monday by data storage company EMC (emc.com), CNET (cnet.com) property ZDNet (zdnet.com), data center operator 365 Main (365main.net) and Data Center Journal (datacenterjournal), a portal for the data center industry.

The survey solicits the opinions of technology executives about business continuity, disaster recovery and new compliance requirements, and attempts to determine the degree to which they have impacted the technology industry. It asks participants to comment and rank issues related to colocation and outsourcing data center needs, business continuity plans, IT competencies, service dependencies and time criticalities.
