February 7, 2003 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Domain name registry offering descriptive domain extensions New.net (New.net) announced on Thursday that it has made an agreement with major domain name registrar BulkRegister (BulkRegister.com), according to which BulkRegister will offer New.net’s targeted domain names to its customer base of 21,000 business members.
The new extensions for domain names, says New.net, include business-specific customization and greater relevance than traditional Web addresses using existing top-level domains. New.net says its domains more directly promote a certain product or service through the use of extensions like .shop, .club and .travel.
