BroadGroup to Host Data Centre Strategies Middle East 2010

February 10, 2010 — International consulting firm BroadGroup (www.broad-group.com) announced on Wednesday it will host the second annual Data Centre Strategies Middle East (www.datacentres.com/me) in Abu Dhabi, Dubai on May 3 to 4.

The forum and exhibition will be attended by influential IT experts and decision makers in the data center industry from all over the region, where they will gain strategic industry insights and discuss how to strengthen their foothold in the market for the long term, says BroadGroup.

Other attendees will include leading operators and investors in managed services, outsourcing and cloud computing services sectors, including HP, the diamond sponsor and Injazat Data Systems who is patron of the event.

The event will include a Middle East Leadership Roundtable, where CIOs from organizations will discuss critical challenges for the data center industry, including investment and growth strategies, carbon trading for data centers and cloud computing.

A green efficiency focus session will focus on the advantages of reducing energy to power and cool data centers.

There will also be workshops on data center security, best practices and virtualization, as well as data center architecture and design.

For the first time, the forum will host the Data Centre Strategies Middle East Awards to recognize remarkable achievements among service providers and individuals in the region’s IT service industry.

The awards include the Best New Entrant in Middle East Data Center, Best Colocation Middle East Facility, Best Data Center Middle East Region, Best Middle East Green Initiative, Best New Cloud Services Middle East Region, Best Sustainable Data Center Design Middle East Region, Best Managed Services Provider Middle East Region, Best Disaster Recovery Provider Middle East 2010 and Middle East CTO Award for Innovation in Data Centers.

There will also be a Judges Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Data Centre Sector Award and a Special Award for Innovation and Education in the Data Centre Sector Middle East 2010.
