(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — International consulting firm BroadGroup (www.broadgroup.com) announced on Thursday that its 4th Annual Power and Cooling for Data Centres (www.datacentres.com/pac), will feature an extensive panel of international experts to address the latest assessment of cost and energy consumption facing all data centers.
First announced in July, the conference will be held at America Square Conference Centre in London, UK on October 23, and will be opened by Catalina McGregor, founder and chair of the CIO / CTO Council Green ICT Delivery Group.
This year’s theme will focus on the use of innovation to reduce cost and energy consumption, and increase efficiency in data centers.
The one-day event will showcase a range of new solutions emerging to reduce costs. Data center solutions with less dense systems lead to less restricted airflow, lower cost per system and higher operating temperatures, resulting in increased free cooling.
BroadGroup will also give out a free copy of its new report Power and Cooling Innovations to conference attendees.
Roy Zeighami, principal cooling/energy architect of business critical systems division at Hewlett Packard will address on design for low power density for IT equipment in his presentation.
The conference will also feature a new panel, chaired by Marion Howard-Healy, senior consultant at BroadGroup which will assess natural solutions.
Howard-Healy will be joined by Maurice Julian, data center manager of HP’s Wynyard data center, Burton Hamner, co-founder and president of Hydrovolts, Greg Mason, data center specialist at Atlantis Resources, Rennie Dalrymple, partner of Bruce Shaw Partnership and Donal Mac Nioclais, commercial development at Aquamarine Power.
