Brazil's Samba Tech Uses Nirvanix Cloud Storage

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Helping major Latin American media outlets and enterprises more efficiently communicate with their audiences, Samba Tech (www.sambatech.com.br) is using enterprise cloud storage service provider Nirvanix’s (www.nirvanix.com) Storage Delivery Network as the content storage and delivery method for its SaaS-based rich-media management platform, Liquid Platform.

According to Nirvanix’s Tuesday announcement, Samba Tech’s integration of Nirvanix cloud storage into Liquid Platform, providing instant scalability without the purchase or management of new hardware. Samba Tech’s Liquid Platform provides the hosting, management, protection and monetization of video, audio and images.

Using the Nirvanix SDN as the backbone of its Liquid Platform, Samba Tech has integrated online storage and enhanced its product, while overcoming capital constraints and infrastructure management issues.

“Nirvanix enhances our ability to solve the logistical issues of offering content storage integration as part of our customers’ media offerings in a way that maximizes the efficiency of digital delivery,” Samba Tech chief marketing officer Rodrigo Paolucci said in a statement. “Because we can take advantage of the Nirvanix SDN, we have been able to provide our international customer base with secure media storage while avoiding the significant capital investment that otherwise would have been required to build out our own storage solution.”

Nirvanix president and chief executive officer Jim Zierick said Nirvanix’s collaboration with Samba Tech gives it an instant, global footprint for storing and delivering media. “By integrating Nirvanix, media companies of all sizes can reduce the complexity of managing their infrastructure and efficiently enable the reuse of their content while reducing their costs,” Zierick said in a statement.
