Boomi Selects OpSource On-Demand

July 16, 2007 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Software as a service delivery provider OpSource (opsource.net) announced on Monday that business integration software provider Boomi (boomi.com) has chosen OpSource On-Demand to deliver the Boomi On Demand integration offering.

Boomi On Demand removes a major barrier to the adoption of software-as-a-service applications by making it easy and affordable to integrate SaaS applications with each other and with customers’ on-premise applications, says Boomi. For example, a business that wants to use an on-demand CRM application and integrate it with an on-premise accounting application can do so without having to manually export and import data or hire a programmer to write an expensive, custom integration. Boomi On Demand creates direct connections without requiring end users to write any code, says the company.

“Boomi On-Demand not only provides a valuable service to its users, it makes a wide variety of SaaS applications accessible to more companies by solving integration issues,” says Treb Ryan, CEO of OpSource. “Integration will play a critical role in the long-term success of SaaS adoption and we’re excited to add Boomi to our client list. OpSource and our customers are collectively pioneering the use and expansion of SaaS applications and we believe the work we’re doing  will have a major impact on how technology is delivered long into the future.”

Last week, OpSource announced that its chief technology officer will be speaking at open source convention OSCON 2007.
