November 27, 2006 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center automation software provider BladeLogic (bladelogic.com) announced last week it has received the Economic Impact Award from the Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development (massecon.com), making it only one of fifteen companies from the Commonwealth to be recognized for its outstanding contribution to the Massachusetts economy.
The awards ceremony took place last Tuesday at the Seaport Hotel in Boston, and also honored other companies, such as Boston Scientific, State Street Corporation, Wyeth Biopharmaceuticals, Bayer Diagnostics and General Dynamics. BladeLogic was chosen for the award based on its impressive revenue growth, broad market acceptance, as well as strong job growth, facility expansion and community involvement.
The past year has seen BladeLogic achieve many corporate goals, including record quarterly and annual financial results for the period ending September 30, with 223 percent quarterly revenue growth over the same period in 2005, and 108 percent annual revenue growth.
“The companies being honored at the Third Annual Economic Impact Awards represent the best in Massachusetts; companies committed to growing in the Commonwealth,” says Susan Houston, executive director of Massachusetts Alliance for Economic Development. “BladeLogic is a prime example of a Massachusetts-based software company that has utilized local resources to rapidly grow from a small start-up to be the leader of a new and exciting software market data center automation.”
