January 28, 2005 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center automation software provider BladeLogic, Inc. (bladelogic.com) announced this week that independent technology research firm Forrester Research has ranked BladeLogic a “leader” in data center automation for life-cycle management.
BladeLogic was one of several companies selected by Forrester to participate in the January 2005 Forrester Wave report entitled, “Selecting A Data Center Automation Vendor.” The report takes into account the key criteria for evaluating data center automation products from the leading vendors in the market, including BladeLogic, BMC, HP, IBM, Opsware, Sun and VERITAS.
Forrester Research awarded BladeLogic, the only private company listed in the report, the highest rating for overall product offering. The company also achieved high scores in product strategy and functionality categories, including configuration management, patch automation, systems and security compliance, automated discovery, rollback and recovery, and reporting. The company also received the high score for “customer base” in the evaluation.
