August 10, 2004 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Bladelogic (bladelogic.com), a developer of data center automation software, announced on Monday that it has appointed Marc Venator as chief financial officer and Murali Menon as vice president of engineering.
Venator will be responsible for leading the company’s financial operations, human resources, and planning and analysis. He was previously the chief financial officer for Precise software before it was acquired by Veritas. Prior to that, Venator was the chief financial officer for Saville Systems, a billing software company.
Menon, as vice president of engineering, will oversee all of the company’s product development activities. Prior to joining BladeLogic, he was the vice president of engineering at ConnecTerra, a developer of enterprise infrastructure software.
