(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Bermudian Web hosting and data center provider QuoVadis Services Limited (www.quovadisglobal.bm) announced on Monday it has named Mike Harris the company’s chief technology officer.
Harris has 20 years of experience designing and managing large telecommunications and IT infrastructures on the island for companies including IBL, Cable & Wireless, and Quantum.
In this role, he will be responsible for continuing evolution of QuoVadis’ data center and managed services offerings.
“We are excited to have Mike join our team with his well-earned reputation as a technology pioneer,” says Gavin Dent, CEO of QuoVadis Services. “The IT sector in Bermuda is moving rapidly towards managed services as companies seek to maintain their flexibility while lowering both their costs and operational risk.”
Since 2003, QuoVadis has been providing Web hosting, private cloud and disaster recovery services.
The company recently opened its multimillion dollar SecureCentre data center in Hamilton.
Harris will play an important role in building its next generation infrastructure, as the company develops its virtualization and cloud technologies to better meet Bermuda’s local and international business needs.
