September 18, 2008 — (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Web hosting and web design provider Barak Hosting (barakhosting.com) announced on Thursday it has acquired 561WebHosting (561webhosting.com).
Though the press release does not include any specific details about the acquisition, or background information about 561WebHosting itself, a quick visit to the 561WebHosting.com website reveals that the domain has already been redirected to Barak’s original website.
In the press release, the company said that the acquisition “adds to Barak Hosting’s client base and provides the clientele of 561WebHosting.com with access to the ever-expanding line of Barak Hosting’s server hosting environment, website design/development and managed services offerings.”
Barak Hosting president Marc Burofsky also said that more “acquisitions are upcoming in the near future.”
The company provides web hosting and website design services, email, database applications, and managed services on shared, virtual private server and dedicated server platforms.
In July, Barak announced it is offering its Online Remote Backup Service, which provides an alternative solution by eliminating unreliable tapes while providing critical offsite data storage for disaster recovery in one tape-free solution that ensures the full recovery of data.
